Louis Blankenstein was a slaughterman by profession. He lived from 1932 to 1935 at Neuer Graben 55, and in 1937 at Hiltropwall 2.
With his wife Sophie, who had previously lived at Hörder Neumarkt 12, he moved back – presumably in 1938 – to the address at Neuer Graben 55.
On 30 July 1942, they were both deported to Theresienstadt, where Louis was murdered on 4 August 1942. Sophie was deported from Theresienstadt to Auschwitz and presumably killed there immediately after her arrival on 15 May 1944.
