merchant, and his wife Gertrud Thal, n\u00e9e Hess (born 11 July 1903 in K\u00f6nigsberg in Prussia). <br \/>Their last address in Dortmund was at M\u00e4rkische Strasse 84, before the family moved to K\u00f6nigsberg in 1931.<\/p><p>After the \u201cPogrom night\u201d of 1938, Hannelore Thal fled to the Netherlands. Her route may have taken her via Dortmund, where her aunt Meta Thal (born 1896 in Lobdowo) lived at M\u00fcnsterstrasse 1.
